Hi! I'm Ryan Dalton - a solutions-driven software engineer with a focus on full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and people leadership.
At Agility Consultants, I led a team of six developers while modernizing legacy applications with Next.js, TailwindCSS, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. I bridge the gap between development and management to deliver quality solutions on time.
My path to tech wasn't traditional. I served in the U.S. Army Reserves and spent a decade as a truck driver before transitioning to software engineering through App Academy in 2021.

Building responsive frontend UI for the Federated Parts Catalog using Flutter. Developing modern, cross-platform user interfaces that enhance the parts browsing and ordering experience for automotive professionals.
Led a team of 6 Software Engineers while contributing directly to coding efforts. One specific accomplishment includes redesigning a high-traffic SharePoint-based system using batched queries, which reduced page load times from ~30 seconds to 3 seconds and resolved frequent query overloads.
Mentored junior/full stack developers and conducted pair programming sessions to promote code quality, knowledge sharing, and consistent development practices. Contributed directly to Next.js frontend and Python backend features utilizing Microsoft SQL database.
Built applications and systems based on detailed and approved functional specifications. Refactored legacy codebases for up to 8× performance improvements using profiling tools and modern design patterns, significantly improving application responsiveness.
Conducted mock technical interviews (system design, DS&A) and provided debugging support for over 250 software engineers in a peer mentorship role.
Built tactical bridges in high-stress environments, supporting logistics across land and water with a strong emphasis on team coordination, situational awareness, and decision-making under stress.
